Continuing Education in Public Speaking – The Benefit of Taking a Public Speaking Class

Considering that I was a young teen I wanted to be a teacher, but the notion of standing in front of a area full of students, and occasionally parents, terrified me. See, I was very shy as a kid and properly into my adulthood, so speaking in public was just not an alternative for me.

These days I am proud to say that I conquered my fears and can confidently walk into any setting and give a well prepared speech with self-confidence. I have also learned that I have turn out to be fairly great and speaking to modest groups about items I enjoy or know quite a bit about, without having a second believed.

I really think that if I had not taken public speaking courses in college I would by no means have managed to reach a level of comfort when speaking to groups. And I will also admit that i almost certainly would never ever have participated in several of the events, associations, and organizational meetings I now discover myself involved with.
